I once danced in a field

July 9, 2013 § Leave a comment

Floating

field fresh

hands touch feet

with grass between toes

and only nearby cows

for music

In leaf-shaped shadows

you find a new way

to move your body

that your bones will remember

better

than your eyes

Ribs go left

arms right,

pushing wind

that melts

through reaching fingertips

Roots grow from hips

Sails shoot from palms

Here,

spinning,

you are everything you feel.
