About me

Lucy Montague-Moffatt is a 25 year old writer and comedian from Dublin.

She is currently studying for an MA in TV and Radio Scriptwriting in Manchester.

Her work has featured on RTE Radio 1′s Sunday Miscellany, Podcasts.ie and in the short story collection published by Doire Press: 30 under 30. This collection was named Book of the Year by novelist Joseph O’Connor and Paperback of the Week by The Irish Times.

She has also been published in a number of publications including The Bohemyth, Wordlegs, Absinthe Revival, Number Eleven, The College Tribune, Yesteryear Fiction, Comedy Ireland, The Leinster Leader, Frank the Monkey and the e-book Wordlegs Presents: 30 under 30. And she was long listed for the Fish Short Story Prize 2012/13.

Lucy was a winner of the Fishamble: Tiny Plays competition and was the Writer-in-Residence for the Inchicore College for three years.

She wrote and performed two comedy shows as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2011 and was a Funny Woman Competition 2012 finalist.

She was a guest reader at the Big Smoke Writing Factory’s flash fiction event Flashbulbs and the Dublin Book Festival 2013.

Lucy’s hobbies include Hello Kitty, Hey Arnold and finding a third interest which starts with a greeting word.
